Stillspace – A Friday Evening Sanctuary

 

Starting Friday 9th January, with the second session on Friday 23rd January, and continuing twice monthly.

Stillspace is a twice-monthly Friday evening class at Urban Zen Yoga, offering a two-hour sanctuary of rest, release, and renewal.

Blending gentle restorative movement, Reiki, Yoga Nidra or guided meditation, and an extended sound bath, this session is designed to help you unwind from the week and settle into deep calm before the weekend begins.

You’ll be welcomed with a cup of herbal tea, then guided through softly supported postures, soothing nervous-system practices, and a deeply immersive sound journey using singing bowls, chimes, and ocean drum.

The evening is gently sealed with an oracle card, offering a symbolic message to reflect on as you step back into the world and into your weekend.

Stillspace is a quiet, nurturing space to soften, reset, and reconnect with your own inner stillness. You’ll leave feeling grounded, spacious, and restored.

Between Worlds: A Multi-Sensory Aerial Soundbath & Shamanic Meditation

 

Step into the space between worlds—a monthly journey where breath meets stillness, sound meets sensation, and you meet yourself.

These unique sessions at Urban Zen, Swansea combine the gentle support of aerial hammocks with healing sound, plant aromas, and rhythmic traditions. Expect a rich fusion of gongs, handpan, crystal bowls, live shamanic drumming, and heart-opening plant tinctures—designed to guide your body and mind into deep rest.

Post natal Mum and Baby Yoga

Family Flow postnatal classes are designed to support mum’s postnatal recovery both physically and emotionally. These classes help mum strengthen from the inside out and safely recover the pelvic floor and deep core. The classes also provide a space for mums to meet new friends, continue their journey with friends made at my pregnancy yoga classes and provide a space to share with other mummies.

Postnatal yoga also helps to relieve the discomfort caused by tricky feeding or sleeping positions, regain strength in the body, promotes relaxation and helps to support you through your postnatal recovery. Classes also include practices for the babies with some baby yoga and baby massage included and is a lovely way to make time to bond with your baby! And we always finish with a cuppa and chat so you get to connect in with other mums.

These classes are relaxed, fun and nourishing and allow for the opportunity to feed, soothe, and change your baby as and when needed.

Classes are suitable from six weeks following a vaginal birth and eight weeks following an abdominal birth. It is always recommended that you get the all clear from your doctor at your 6 week postnatal check. Ask your doctor to check if you have Diastasis Recti (separated abdominal tummy muscles) as this is useful to know when attending class.

Classes are suitable up until baby is on the move. If you have had your baby a year ago or more and never included a dedicated postnatal recovery class and experience lower back ache or sneeze wee then these classes can help your on-going recovery.

These classes mix ancient and tradition yoga practices with the latest in evidenced based research. My qualification was completed with LushTums the UKs leading expert leading provider of yoga for expectant women, mums, and their families.  And I am registered with FEDANT – the Federation of Antenatal Educators.

Prenatal Pregnancy Yoga

I teach weekly pregnancy yoga and birth preparation classes that are designed to create time and space for you to connect with your baby. I have a 100-hour expert pregnancy yoga qualification with LushTums one of the UK’s leading provider of yoga for expectant women, mums, and their families.  Clare Maddalena, founder, and senior yoga teacher of LushTums is passionate about supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth, motherhood and beyond. The insight and wisdom I have gained from her is invaluable.

My pregnancy classes are informative, nourishing, relaxed, friendly, and light-hearted. Each class is bespoke and tailored to your individual needs on that given day, to encourage comfort and empower women throughout pregnancy and birth.  My classes provide a warm, positive space where women can connect with their baby and connect with other women on this amazing journey into motherhood.

 

The classes include birth preparation, mindfulness, relaxation, and movements to help relieve common pregnancy aliments such as:

  • Aches and pains
  • Sciatica
  • Pelvic girdle pain
  • Heartburn
  • Insomnia
  • Swollen ankles

Helps you have a good night’s sleep so you wake up refreshed, energised and ready to go

And evidence-based yoga practices proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and fear.

Also attending classes are an amazing way to reach out and meet other mummies to be within the local community and make friends for life!

Classes are suitable from 14 weeks of pregnancy. However, if you do have prior experience of yoga practice and wish to start classes earlier please get it touch. If you have any health concerns always check with your midwife that it is okay to practice before booking your class.

 I am registered with FEDANT – the Federation of Antenatal Educators which means you are entitled to time off work to attend! I can provide my registration number to your employer upon request.
